Overview
What Moed does
A guest list in a spreadsheet works until the first change. Someone replies by email, someone else brings a plus-one that was not on the form, the day-of check-in is a printed list and a highlighter, and afterward nobody knows how many people actually came.
Moed replaces all of that with one link. Guests receive it, respond within the rules the organizer set, and get a QR code. On the day, the welcome table scans codes from a phone. Afterward, the analytics show invited, responded, attended, and when they arrived.
Who it is for
- Organizations hosting galas, fundraisers, and member events, where the headcount drives catering, seating, and cost.
- Teams running conferences, launches, and community events, who need check-in to be fast and the numbers to be real.
- Anyone who has managed a guest list in a spreadsheet and would rather not do it again.
What you get
- One shareable RSVP link. Send it by email, message, or print; guests respond without an account.
- Plus-one and party-size controls. Rules per invitation for plus-ones, maximum party size, and whether names are required, enforced automatically.
- QR check-in at the door. Each guest has a code; scanning it checks them in and updates the live count.
- Live headcount and analytics. Invited, responded, declined, attended, and arrival times, visible during the event and afterward.
- A record you can keep. Guest lists and attendance retrievable for the next event.
How it runs
Moed is coming soon. It is a hosted service: we run it, you sign in, and it is usable for a single event without an engagement.
Where an event has requirements beyond the standard flow, the same three options apply as for every product:
- Start with Moed as it is, when it is available.
- Tailor it to your workflow as an engagement: integration with a membership, ticketing, or donor system, custom invitation rules, or branded invitations.
- Build something new if the event is one part of a larger program or membership problem.
Tailoring or building is a fixed-scope, fixed-term engagement with a named lead and a written definition of done.
Where it came from
Moed exists because the guest-list spreadsheet came up in client work the same way the closeout binder and the scheduling inbox did: a small process that generates a large amount of coordination. When we see the same problem three times, we turn the solution into a product.
Related services: full-stack product development for the product work behind Moed, and custom software consulting when the problem is larger than an event.
